This is what the trick actually looks like:
1. One deck is shuffled, then spread on the table. A second deck is introduced, and two cards are selected and lost in that deck.
2. The magician’s pockets are thoroughly examined, and then the first deck is cleanly placed in their pocket.
3. The first spectator names the card they picked, and impossibly, the magician is able to pluck that card out of their pocket. The second spectator names a card they only looked at, and impossibly, the magician plucks that card out of their pocket with no hesitation.
4. In a stunning finale, a third spectator names a card they are merely thinking of and impossibly, the magician can pluck that card out of their pocket in a stunning finale.
This trick is not just stunning; it’s shockingly easy and diabolically sneaky. Dani will not just teach you a modern take on a classic card plot from Hofzinser. He updates it using techniques the Viennese card master could never have taken advantage of in his time, making the trick orders of magnitude better than the original. This plays on audience members’ expectations and preconceived notions in a truly clever way. This one is a true magician fooler.
