“I love the plot. This is a devilishly strong and memorable routine. You have to close with it but good luck leaving, they’ll want to keep asking HOW?!” – Noel Qualter
“There are very few things we do as card magicians that are strong enough to close our whole act in a way that our audiences won’t ever forget. I think Quarantine may be the strongest closer to a formal card act that I’ve ever seen!” – Kyle Purnell
“Wow! Every magician wishes they could do this after every card trick… to seal up the deck all over again and bam… it's brand new again! Quarantine is making me want to quarantine myself to play around with this. This will ENHANCE your card magic to the next level with a kicker finale!” – Alon Zaikin
“Craig has done it again! Quarantine is a really strong and commercial effect guaranteed to get great responses! The moment you pull their signed card from the completely cellophaned and sealed deck is incredibly visual – love it!” – Adam Dadswell
“Quarantine delivers the ultimate impossible moment, leaving the audience in a collective gasp of amazement as he builds toward the perfect closing routine.” – Andy Smith
A deck of cards that your audience has shuffled seals itself in cellophane. A box that they removed the cards from seals itself in cellophane. Even though they signed a card and lost it in the deck that is now encased in plastic, you can pluck their card out of the pack ,and they can examine everything. One of Craig’s most direct and commercial routines is now available to you to wreck your audience’s brains.
Here’s what happens:
1. They remove the cards from the box and shuffle them. A card is signed and lost in the pack.
2. You let them examine a crumpled piece of cellophane before slamming the deck into the plastic, only for them to discover the loose cards are now completely sealed.
3. You then tell them that their card is still in the deck, but you can get it out. You VISUALLY remove the signed card from the deck, leaving the plastic completely intact.
4. In a wild kicker ending, you make an off-hand comment that everything that happened was impossible, then offer them the box. They could never have opened the box because it’s completely encased in unopened cellophane.
Quarantine is directly from Craig’s working repertoire. He does more corporate events in the UK than nearly any other magician, and Quarantine makes an appearance at every one of them. The routine is solid, the structure has incredible built-in misdirection, and everything can be examined. In addition to the full routine, Craig teaches a variety of handlings, including a no-palm version, one that doesn’t require any switches, and a host of other versions that will keep you ready for any situation. You’re going to love this shrink-wrapped miracle from Craig Petty.
