This project presents four of my adaptations of Marlo’s classic effects. Each routine uses a different technique and approach.
A Number For Fast Cut: My favorite routine. A completely impromptu effect. A spectator freely selects a card, replaces it into the deck, and cuts the cards at random. The magician accurately names the exact position of the selection, cuts off a packet, counts the cards one by one to that number, and the final card is the spectator’s selection.
My Veeser Approach Vanish: The selected card is placed among four Aces. A Joker is inserted face up into the center of the deck. In an instant, the selection vanishes, and the Joker in the middle changes into the selected card. A simpler handling with a cleaner ending.
Ginsberg Poke AK: The spectator cuts the deck into four packets, each revealing a different card. The magician moves the corresponding number of cards to the bottom of each packet, then deals three cards onto the other packets. Under completely fair conditions, this produces the four Aces and four Kings.
Hide The Royal Family: A spectator selects a card. Using several blank-faced cards prepared in advance, the magician successively changes them into the spectator’s selection, and finally into a Royal Flush.
